Frostys will be serving our famous ice cold beer and pizza all weekend. Come visit us for breakfast on Saturday or Sunday from 7am-11am to try Ryan’s new Mexican breakfast special.

Frosty Bar will open the doors for the 2009 season on April 17th. Friday evening will feature our traditional pizza buffet with all-you-can-eat pizza, salad, breadsticks, and soda. The cold beer will also be flowing! Be sure to stop by the pizza buffet to pickup giveaways celebrating Frostys’ 60th Anniversary!
2009 marks a grand anniversary for Frosty’s. In 1949 Louise Stoiber established the Frosty Bar serving beer in the frozen Mamas and Papas sized glasses. Since then, June and George Stoiber have slung beer and pizza to hungry tourists, boaters, and locals alike, building Frostys’ status as an “island tradition.”
In 2009, Kim and Ryan Stoiber will take the reins at the Frosty Bar, founding the third generation of Stoibers at Frosty’s. Please come celebrate our 60th anniversary and the beginning of new traditions at Frosty’s!
Frosty’s has closed its doors for Summer 2008, but we would like to thank all the employees, customers, and friends that made 2008 a successful and fun experience.

Football season is finally upon us, and the Frosty’s crew is ready! We will be watching the Ohio State and Browns football games this fall on our 3 flat screen TV’s and two GIANT projector screens.
Ohio State football season starts this Saturday with OSU vs. Youngstown State. The game is at noon, so get here early to save your seats. Arrive before 11am and enjoy breakfast and Bloody Mary’s!

Frosty’s, as well as sister restaurants The Crescent Tavern and Odd Fellows Tavern, have gone green! All three restaurants are now recycling all glass bottles, plastic bottles, and aluminum cans.
Over the past two summers, Frosty’s has changed many of the traditional disposable products to environmentally friendly products. Customers now enjoy beer and soda out of corn plastic cups that are biodegradable and compostable. All napkins, paper towels, plates, and other paper products are made from recycled material. Even the plastic silverware is made from potato starch.
Please help your friends at Frosty’s by placing your recyclable glass, aluminum, and plastic bottles in the recycling containers!
Memorial Day weekend, known to some as the start of the summer season, was loads of fun for those lucky enough to spend the weekend on Put-in-Bay. Frosty’s enjoyed a great crowd of boaters, day-trippers, and weekend warriors enjoying cold beers and (for some) the first Frosty pizza of the season.
Frostys is looking forward to welcoming our sailor friends on June 7th for the annual Mills Trophy Race. We’ll have lots of Bloody Mary’s, Blueberry Pancakes, and Eggs Benedicts to satisfy our favorite boater weekend participants.
Don’t forget about Founder’s Day and the Island Auction on June 14th. Founder’s Day features a fun-filled day of finding bargains at one of the many sale tables in the park, as well as a picnic lunch, entertainment and fun. The Island Auction which begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday raises funds for the local historical museum which maintains more than 6,000 square feet of displays, research materials and a genealogy database.

Frosty’s is also excited about our new staff for 2008. We have lots of old faces and many new, so come welcome back your favorite bartender or breakfast server and meet the “newbies” on the pizza side.

Victoria Day marks the beginning of the season at Put-in-Bay. A Canadian holiday, Queen Victoria Day is celebrated on the last Monday before or on May 24 in honour of both Queen Victoria’s birthday and the current reigning Canadian sovereign’s birthday. Along with Canada, some parts of Scotland and the Cayman Islands, the Lake Erie islands celebrate the holiday which precedes Memorial Day weekend in the Spring.

Entry is only $15 and participants can enter more than once. Sign up will be located in De Rivera Park (across from Frosty’s). Prizes include mini-island vacation packages consisting of island lodging, meals, ferry and island transportation as well as souvenirs for 2 people!
